ARI 345 with cab: How much can fit in the box body?

The ARI 345 with a closed cabin gets you from A to B without getting your feet wet, and thanks to its moped classification, it offers a particularly affordable entry point into electric mobility. But how much cargo actually fits in the trunk of this compact electric vehicle? We put it to the storage space test and show you what really fits inside.

Compact on the outside, spacious on the inside

At first glance, the ARI 345 looks small and agile. That’s exactly what makes it so practical for inner-city use. Despite its compact dimensions, however, the cargo body offers a surprising amount of space. Even the standard version can hold a whole lot of material, and there’s still plenty of room to grow with larger bodies.

The interior dimensions of the L-box variant

For our test, we used the box body L version of the ARI 345. The interior dimensions of the box body are as follows:

  • Length: 1.32 meters
  • Width: 1.16 meters
  • Height: 0.95 meters

The overall dimensions of the L-size box body are thus 1320 x 1160 x 950 millimeters. This provides enough space to accommodate a full Euro pallet. The proof is quickly demonstrated in the video: A Euro pallet fits easily into the box body.

Three box body sizes for every need

The ARI 345 is not limited to a single body size. The box body is available in three sizes with loading lengths of 1.23 meters, 1.32 meters, and 1.49 meters. Depending on the box size, the cargo volume ranges from approximately 1.36 cubic meters for the standard box to up to 2.05 cubic meters for the XL box.

If you need less space, simply choose the shorter standard box body. And if you ever need to transport bulky items like a snow shovel or a broom, these can be stowed diagonally, or you can opt for the flatbed version, where items can extend slightly over the rear.

Height: Stacking Made Easy

When it comes to storage space, it’s not just about length and width, but also height. In our test, we checked how many standard bakery and Euro crates fit into the box body. The result: If you’re willing to stack them, you can fit a surprising amount of material inside. As long as stacking remains practical, the available space can be used to its fullest potential.

For even more height, the sales vehicle is also available, which stands out with its larger body dimensions and is ideal for mobile sales.

A vehicle for many applications

With a payload of up to 300 kilograms and its versatile body options, the ARI 345 is a true all-rounder. It has a top speed of 45 km/h and requires only a Class AM moped license, making it drivable starting at age 15.

Whether as a reliable companion for businesses and service providers, a delivery vehicle for tradespeople, a coffee truck, or a vehicle for wine tastings: the ARI 345 can be adapted to a wide variety of needs. Its low purchase price and the ongoing cost savings of an electric vehicle make it particularly attractive.
