ARI 458 Pro box in use for fire safety education in the Eichstätt district fire department
In Bavaria, around 7,500 volunteer fire departments with around 315,000 volunteers ensure the protection of the population. In addition to firefighting and technical assistance, one area is becoming increasingly important: fire safety education and awareness. Trained fire safety educators visit kindergartens and schools, teach the correct way to deal with fire and practise making emergency calls to 112 with children.
KFV Eichstätt: Mobile fire safety education with the ARI 458 Pro
The Eichstätt District Fire Brigade Association (KFV) has been focusing on exemplary prevention work for years. The fire safety education team travels to schools in the district all year round to teach children and young people about preventive fire safety - supported by the Eichstätt volunteer fire department, which was founded in 1863 and is one of the most traditional fire brigades in Bavaria.
For even more mobility and sustainability, the KFV Eichstätt now relies on the ARI 458 Pro with box body from ARI Motors. The all-electric van serves as a training workshop on wheels: The standard box body has been specifically equipped with various materials for mobile use - from practice telephone systems for emergency call training to illustrative materials on fire hazards and fire extinguisher practice equipment.
Fire department livery and blue light
The ARI 458 Pro of the KFV Eichstätt was equipped with a customized fire department wrap and a blue light system - and is therefore immediately recognizable as an official emergency vehicle for fire safety education.
ARI Motors offers individual wrapping for all body variants. Whether fire department design according to DIN, municipal appearance, club branding or corporate look - each vehicle can be adapted precisely to the customer's requirements and corporate design. In combination with an optional special signaling system, the result is a vehicle that is not only functionally impressive, but also has a representative appearance.
OPES Solar Mobility: solar power for use
A special highlight of the project: the company OPES Solar Mobility has donated a solar panel to the KFV Eichstätt. OPES Solar Mobility, based in Zwenkau near Leipzig, operates Europe's first production facility for flexible solar modules that have been specially developed for vehicle integration.
The donated solar panel makes it possible to charge a mini emergency generator or a portable UPS (uninterruptible power supply). This provides the fire safety education team with an independent power supply at all times - ideal for operating demonstration equipment, lighting or electronic teaching aids without the need for an external power source. A sustainable solution that fits perfectly with the zero-emission vehicle concept of the ARI 458 Pro.
