Efficient charging with the ARI Bruni: 230V socket, wallbox or fast charging?

The ARI Bruni is not only compact and practical, but also very easy to charge. Thanks to the option of charging it at a standard household 230-volt socket, charging remains flexible and uncomplicated. However, there are a few important points to bear in mind to make the charging process safe and efficient. In this article, you will learn how to charge your ARI Bruni optimally and what options are available to you.

Charging at the household socket - simple and convenient

The ARI Bruni is supplied with a suitable charging cable with a 230-volt plug. This allows you to connect the vehicle to any standard socket - whether in the garage, in the yard or even on the balcony. An empty battery is fully charged again in around 5 to 6 hours. In most cases, however, the battery will only be partially discharged, so the charging time will be correspondingly shorter.

Important notes for safe charging:

  • Only use the supplied charging cable or a suitable extension with a cross-section of at least 2.5 mm².

  • Do not use conventional extension cables from DIY stores, as their current carrying capacity is not sufficient.

  • Make sure that the cable is always fully unrolled to avoid overheating.

Charging with a balcony solar power system

A balcony power station can be a practical and sustainable way to charge the ARI Bruni with solar power. By feeding the energy generated into the household grid, the vehicle's charging requirements can be partially or fully covered. Charging is particularly efficient when combined with a storage unit that provides surplus solar energy for later use. With a charging power of just 800 watts, the ARI Bruni is ideal for this type of energy supply, which reduces electricity costs and optimizes the use of renewable energies.

Charging at the wallbox - what do I need to consider?

If you already have a wallbox at home or would like to access public charging stations with type 2 plugs, this is also possible - but with one small difference: the ARI Brun i uses the Chinese GB/T standard.

This is how charging with the wallbox works:

  • You need a GB/T to type 2 adapter.

  • Once plugged in, the adapter module takes over the communication between the vehicle and the wallbox.

  • The charging power remains at a maximum of 3.3 kW, regardless of whether your wallbox could deliver 11 or 22 kW.

Fast charging with the ARI Bruni

For particularly urgent charging processes, it is possible to charge the ARI Bruni at fast charging stations with a CCS connection. As the vehicle also uses the Chinese GB/T standard, a special adapter is also required here. This adapter module converts the CCS signal so that the vehicle can be charged with up to 24 kW.

Why we recommend slow charging:

  • The battery is protected and has a longer service life.

  • Fast charging generates more heat and can put a strain on the battery in the long term.

  • The purchase of a fast-charging adapter is expensive.

Conclusion: Charge smartly and protect the battery

For most ARI Bruni owners, charging at a 230-volt socket is completely sufficient. It is simple, inexpensive and easy on the battery. If you have a wallbox, you can use this with the appropriate adapter - but without saving time. Fast charging is an option, but we do not necessarily recommend it.

With the right charging technology, your ARI Bruni will remain ready for use for a long time and you will save yourself unnecessary costs. Try it out and experience maximum riding comfort with minimum charging effort!
