ARI 458 flatbed as the first electric car in the Hohe Mark Clinic fleet

The Hohe Mark clinic in Taunus has been using an ARI 458 PIckup L for several months to ensure smooth processes on the large clinic premises. The vehicle, with a loading area measuring 1.49 meters by 1.24 meters, is responsible for distributing mail, parcels and materials to the individual wards and departments. It also transports laundry and garbage bags as well as tools for repairs and construction work.

During its planned service life, the previous vehicle, a VW Golf Plus with a diesel engine, would have consumed around 4,800 liters. With the ARI 458 and its energy costs of around 2.50 euros per 100 kilometers, the clinic saves a lot of money. In addition, the electric van produces no emissions and no engine noise, which is significantly less stressful for patients and staff.

The clinic's Technical Director, Matthias Wernicke, comments: "Our aim is to gradually make the clinic climate-neutral. We have already achieved some things, but there are still many steps to be taken. In terms of mobility, the ARI is a first step. Another electric car will be added this year. A Golf Plus with a diesel engine will be replaced by a purely electric car. In addition, we are planning to install a publicly accessible wallbox in our multi-storey parking lot in summer 2021. This is a charging station for electric cars with 2 charging points of 11 kW each."

The new ARI 458 PIckup L fits perfectly into the philosophy of the clinic, which has already been awarded the BUND "Energy-saving hospital" seal of approval. If you too would like to use an environmentally friendly and quiet electric vehicle for your company, factory or hospital premises:
